Master Plan. Charles Layton reminded the audience that Neptune is required to revisit the Master Plan every 10 years, and the time has come for them to do so. The Neptune Planning Board plans to have a series of public meetings where residents may have input. The OGHOA plans to carefully examine items in the Master Plan as they pertain to Ocean Grove. Trustee Barbara Burns clarified the process of revisions to the Master Plan, and pointed out that in the past the OGHOA has had an impact on issues that come before the Neptune Township Committee, and on items in the Master Plan that protect Ocean Grove. She mentioned in particular the North End redevelopment plan as regards underground parking. This redevelopment project seems to be stalled for the time being, probably because of the economy. President Dunlap and Fran Paladino along with other members of the ad hoc ‘MasterPlan’committee plan to attend the public meetings as sort of a watchdog committee, keeping an eye on subjects of interest to Ocean Grove residents, such as code enforcement, overdevelopment, parking, etc.
Membership. President Dunlap reminded people to send in their dues and, if possible, to include a donation to our Legal Fund.
The president thanked everyone who had brought non-perishable food items to our Christmas party for the benefit of the Monmouth-Ocean Food Bank.

             Saturday - January 23, 2010

The meeting was called to order by President Dunlap at 10:05 a.m. with a prayer offered by trustee Gale Wyzykowski, followed by the pledge of allegiance.
Secretary Meade read the minutes of the membership meeting of Saturday, December 19, 2009. Minutes were approved by audience vote.
Treasurer's Report. Charles Layton, treasurer, read the OGHOA quarterly financial report for the period October 1st through December 31, 2009. Totals are: General fund, $1,579.00; Legal fund, $19,168; two C.D.s totaling $11,096; Total assets, $31.844.00. In comparison to a year ago, we have $2,944.00 more than last year.
Broadway Drainage. Fran Paladino gave an update on the Broadway drainage project. He was informed by the Township engineer that the plan had been submitted to the D.O.T. six or eight months ago. On checking with the D.O.T. it turned out that the DO.T. had sent the plans to the State Historic Preservation Organization (SHPA) and had not yet received the necessary approval. Fran contacted our legislative office and they promised to help move things along. When the plans are approved by SHPA, the project will be put out for bids.
